I had my carpets steam cleaned last week, but now the stain is back. What happened?

In most cases returning spots are caused by over-wetting the carpet, usually with steam cleaning or hot water extraction. With this method you’re subjecting your carpet to- 40-60 gallons worth of water. This hot, dirty water reaches all the way down to the carpet backing and base of fibers, where most of the liquid then pools. As the water dries at the carpet fiber tips, more water containing soil is drawn up to the tips, thus making it visible again. Oxiplanet’s safe and smart method eliminates this potential. We use less water, greener products and better technology. Visit Us Vs Them to learn more about how Oxiplant’s cleaning method compares with other carpet cleaning methods.

Does Oxiplanet use water electrolysis (also known as “empowered water”) to clean carpets?

Using Water Electrolysis is great for cleaning and sanitizing hard non-porous surfaces. However, we don’t recommend that method on your rugs. In order for “empowered water” to clean carpet effectively, it requires a Ph greater than 11.5. This puts your carpet at risk and voids the warranties on wool and nylon rugs. Oxiplanet’s carpet cleaning method is proven effective and safe for all rugs, even those made with silk and other natural fibers.
